口腔癌約佔所有惡性腫瘤的3%，在台灣、印度等地發生率居高不下。病患在經歷手術、放射或化療後，常面臨咀嚼與吞嚥障礙、口腔衛生困難等問題，這些狀況不僅影響日常生活，更增加吸入性肺炎、營養不良等併發症風險，帶來龐大醫療與社會負擔。

本屆會議以「口腔癌患者術後的咽喉復健與口腔護理」為主題，邀請來自美國、西班牙、英國、日本、韓國、馬來西亞等地的國際學者，以及國內頂尖專家，共同探討全球口腔癌防治趨勢與創新照護模式，促進跨領域整合合作。內容涵蓋政策交流、臨床與社區照護策略，並導入AI科技於口腔癌篩檢、語言復健、舌肌訓練與微創治療等實務應用。

Welcome to the 3rd International Symposium on Transdisciplinary Care for Dysphagia (ISTCD) and the 3rd Global Oral Cancer Forum (GOCF), to be held on May 30–31, 2026, at the Kaohsiung Medical University International Conference Center Hall A and B, Taiwan.

Oral cancer accounts for about 3% of all malignancies and poses a significant health burden, especially in countries like India and Taiwan. After surgery, radiotherapy, or chemotherapy, patients often face chewing and swallowing difficulties, along with compromised oral hygiene. These conditions can severely impact their quality of life and increase the risk of complications such as aspiration pneumonia and malnutrition.

This year's theme, "Dysphagia Rehabilitation and Oral Care for Patients with Oral Cancer," brings together leading experts from the United States, Spain, the United Kingdom, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, and Taiwan to discuss global strategies for oral cancer care. The agenda includes discussions on policy, community-based prevention, clinical rehabilitation, and innovative technologies such as AI in cancer screening, speech therapy, lingual muscle training, and minimally invasive treatments.
