An Evening of Music, Culture & Art
King Cake New Orleans Jazz is dedicated to delivering the purest soul of traditional jazz. Specializing in styles such as Dixieland, Blues, and Swing, they recreate the unique "Second Line" parade atmosphere of New Orleans.
Their performance artfully incorporates classic elements like traditional beads and white handkerchiefs, bringing the festive energy of Mardi Gras to the Kaohsiung harbor. The band's name originates from the "King Cake," a symbol of luck during the New Orleans Carnival, representing a blessing and a wish for good fortune to be shared with all guests. With their distinctive vintage rhythms, they will infuse the dinner with an elegant and lighthearted tempo.
To share the beauty of Taiwan with our international guests, we have specially invited the Wei Hong Martial Arts Lion Dance Troupe to deliver a breathtaking performance. With a mission to promote Taiwan's traditional folk arts, the troupe perfectly integrates Techno-Dancing Third Prince (Electric-Techno Neon Gods), dragon dances, and lion dances with modern stage aesthetics, creating a performance that is both rich in content and full of vitality.
Wei Hong has been frequently invited to perform at international travel fairs and in various media outlets, serving as a key ambassador for Taiwanese culture. Through their exquisite martial arts skills and powerful choreography, international guests will experience the stunning impact of Taiwanese folk art firsthand and feel the sincere passion of this land.
